Rocked by COVID-19, The Floating Hospital rights itself for the future

With the coronavirus pandemic, TFH’s entire family-driven safety net collapsed almost immediately. Under the pressure of COVID’s new health and safety mandates, clinics were closed, more than one third of the staff was furloughed, and most support services such as health education, social services, and collected item distribution were discontinued.

TFH President Sean Granahan describes pivoting through a deadly virus to keep a safety net intact for patient families.

Donations large and small are why we're New York strong. It's why we've continued our role as the safety net for our city, throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In 156 years, it's not the first challenging time we've faced. And we know it won't be our last.
